We’ve been quiet for a while. There’s a good reason for that.. We have set out on a journey to bring a creative retreat for women to light!
Research on adult play backs this up — play remains surprisingly under-studied in psychology, even as its role in adult well-being becomes more important than ever.
Originally, The Bright Stars Greenroom was envisioned as a retreat for actors and creatives. It had a different shape entirely. It was an experience designed around the specific, particular exhaustion that comes with a creative career built on being chosen, judged, and performing on demand.
A space where creatives could go to not only learn the business side of acting, but gain experience on set, and stepping into a world of collaboration that was full of creativity and inspiration.
A Creative Retreat for Women Was Born
But somewhere in the planning, I realized something bigger: it wasn’t just actors who needed this. Creative women, across every discipline, have forgotten how to play.
Somewhere between deadlines, auditions, client work, and simply keeping life running, play became a thing we used to do. Not anymore, not for us… for kids, for someone else’s inner child, for anyone but our own.
So the vision changed. I teamed up with another photographer who felt the exact same pull, and together we built something new: a retreat not just for actors, but for creative women looking to rediscover play and real community.w
A women’s creative retreat, inspired purely by fantasy and magic – where women go to step into a realm of complete play an exploration. Taking part in photoshoots, fantasy inspired events, and a safe community full of other creative women.
The Starlight Gathering – House of Stories is a fantasy retreat hosted by The Bright Stars Greenroom, designed for creative women ready to reconnect — with play, story, and each other.

This isn’t a retreat about producing more, performing more, or optimizing yourself into another version of “on.” It’s about remembering what it feels like to play again — inside a beautiful, imaginative world built specifically to hold that.
