The Bright Stars Greenroom Dream Team
Igniting Success through Performance
Shannon Scott is the Founder, CEO and host of The Bright Stars Greenroom. Born and raised in Florida, Shannon first dipped her toes in the arts by studying Dance and Theatre through college. Soon after, she landed her first professional gig as an entertainer when she was cast to become one of the first Free-Diving Mermaids for Ripley’s Aquarium. She then continued her aquatic performances as a pearl-diver for Seaworld Orlando for many years while she pursued her dreams of becoming a working actor.
Despite her early shyness—so profound that her family once thought she was mute—Shannon was always a keen observer of the world around her and enjoyed telling stories of all types. With a lot of research, rejection and determination, Shannon has charged her way into becoming a working actor and professional voiceover talent-having the honor of working with production companies all around the world. Whether she was performing a on-stage, underwater, in a n on-camera production or providing a high-quality voiceover, Shannon was always searching for ways to empower lives through performance.
With her passion for the arts and love of helping others, Shannon was frustrated by seeing talented performers give up on their dreams and disillusioned by the industry’s common advice of “get a headshot, get an agent, and you’ll be on your way,” She recognized the need for something more meaningful and helpful in such a competitive industry, which inspired her to create something special for actors to pursue their dreams with full confidence. A place where actors could come together to focus on gaining the knowledge needed to thrive in the entertainment industry. Thus, the Bright Stars Greenroom was born—providing a transformative space for artists to connect, grow, and elevate their careers as actors.
Shannon possesses a remarkable ability to help others find their spark, even in the darkest of times. As an empath, she dedicates herself to uplifting fellow creatives, inspiring them to pursue their acting passions and embrace their full potential with unshakeable confidence. With a heart full of compassion and a spirit ignited by creativity, Shannon continues to inspire and uplift those around her.

KATIE SWEET
~ Elite Chef ~
Riding the waves of culinary passion
Katie Sweet is a remarkable example of someone who embraces the twists and turns of life with unwavering resilience and determination. While many people find their path early on, Katie has always been one to ride the waves of her experiences, facing challenges head-on and emerging stronger each time.
From a young age, Katie felt a deep connection to cooking, believing that food has an extraordinary power to bring people together. She understood that no matter who you are, everyone shares the universal need to eat, and her greatest desire was to create moments of comfort and joy through her culinary creations.
Her journey in the food and beverage industry began in high school, where she took on various front-of-house roles. At just 17, she discovered her passion for the kitchen as a pastry cook, diving into both sweet and savory dishes. Over the next five years, Katie dedicated herself to learning and growing, taking on diverse positions that enriched her culinary skills.
Katie’s path then took an intriguing turn when she entered the fitness industry as a personal trainer. It was here that she realized her impact extended beyond physical training; she found joy in nurturing her clients’ holistic well-being. She designed personalized meal plans, led one-on-one cooking sessions, and even accompanied clients on grocery trips, discovering that the most critical aspect of a fitness journey was, in fact, the food they ate.
When the world changed dramatically during the pandemic, Katie saw a chance to elevate her culinary journey even further. She moved to Northern California’s beautiful wine country, immersing herself in the study of food and beverage. Her dedication and hard work paid off—she graduated from The Culinary Institute of America, managed a five-star luxury resort, and now thrives as a Sous Chef, loving every moment of her evolving journey.
Katie’s story is a testament to her passion for food and her ability to embrace life’s challenges. Having someone with Katie’s expertise and dedication is a true blessing for us. Her culinary skills, combined with her understanding of nutrition and wellness, elevate our retreat experience, allowing participants to savor meals that are both satisfying and wholesome. We’re excited to have her share her culinary journey with us and inspire everyone at The Bright Stars Greenroom to embrace the joy of food as part of their own journeys.
